Obagi® Tretinoin is a prescription-only medication that uses the healing abilities of Vitamin A to treat multiple skin conditions such as acne, hyperpigmentation, sun damage and premature ageing. Available in multiple strengths.

  • How to apply

    Use during to complete the final step of your evening skincare routine;

    • Squeeze a pea-sized amount onto your fingertip and mix with a pea-sized amount of Obagi Nu-Derm® Blender
    • Apply to full face.
    • Avoid corners of the nose, mouth, eyes and open wounds and ensure you wash your hands after application.

    Retin-A is a brand name; tretinoin is the name of the active ingredient.

  • Can tretinoin remove dark spots?

    Yes, Tretinoin creams can be used to treat fine wrinkles, dark spots, or rough skin on the face caused by the damaging rays of the sun. It works by lightening the skin, replacing older skin with newer skin, and slowing down the way the body removes skin cells that may have been harmed by the sun.

  • Is tretinoin stronger than retinol?

    Yes, tretinoin is a purer form of Vitamin A, it is available on prescription only and tends to be a bit more aggressive than retinol. Those who are oily or have tolerant skin are best suited for tretinoin. Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A and it is a bit more suitable for those with sensitive skin.

  • Is tretinoin good for ageing skin?
