PYRUVIC PEEL FOR ACNE AND ANTI-AGEING
Inflammatory acne occurs when follicles or pores become blocked with bacteria, oil and dead skin cells causing swelling, redness and pustules. As we age lines form, rough scaly patches may appear and dark uneven patches may become more evident. These imperfections can be caused by repeated sun exposure, smoking, hormone imbalance, dehydration, lack of sleep, diet, loss of volume, some medications and/or environmental and genetic factors. Pyruvic Acid is the perfect solution for both acne and anti-ageing.
PYRUVIC ACID BENEFITS
EnerPeel® Pyruvic Acid (PA) has the next most active acid to a TCA (TriChloroacetic acid) but with a much greater safety profile. It is a gentle but highly effective anti-ageing medical-grade peel treatment, addressing multiple signs of ageing including open pores and pigmentation. As a keto-acid, it has a sebum slowing effect like the beta hydroxyl acid Salicylic acid, but it penetrates much deeper than the Salicylic acid (SA). In acne cases, EnerPeel® PA peels can be very useful for post-acne damage and oiliness.
We can combine this peel with the EnerPeel® JR for an even deeper peel that targets both lines and wrinkles and sun damage.
As with all of our skin treatments, patients are required to have a skin consultation including skin analysis prior to any skin treatment recommendation.
