The Dermalux Triwave is a multi-award winning device, using cutting-edge technology and clinically proven wavelengths through the highest quality LEDs, expertly aligned helping to deliver each wavelength at a specific, measured energy output, intensity and dose. Uniquely, Dermalux uses leading-edge LED technology, which allows all three wavelengths to be used at the same time. This means you can enjoy enhanced results, while still keeping treatment times to a minimum.

WHAT CAN LED LIGHT THERAPY DO FOR ME?

LED light therapy instantly boosts the complexion to restore vitality and glow. A treatment course offers cumulative benefits and can be targeted to specific skin concerns for the face and body with lasting and visible improvement.

WHAT DOES LED LIGHT THERAPY TREAT?

  • Acne
  • Extreme Skin Sensitivity
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Rosacea Skin
  • Skin Ageing
  • Pigmentation
  • Muscular and Joint Pain relief

HOW DOES LED LIGHT THERAPY HELP THE SKIN?

While we often associate light exposure with negative effects such as skin ageing and damage, light also has many positive influences on the body. It helps us produce vitamin D, provides energy and serotonin. It can also encourage cell growth and collagen rejuvenation.
The spectrum of light is grouped into different categories, some you can see, such as red and blue light, and some are invisible such as UV and near-infrared. Different types of light stimulate different responses, so while ongoing exposure to UV is very damaging, controlled levels of near-infrared, blue and red light are clinically proven to be beneficial.

FAQs

  • Can anyone have LED light therapy?

Whilst most people can be treated with the Dermalux light therapy machine there are some medical conditions and medication that would preclude treatment. This will be discussed at your consultation.

  • Why should I have LED Therapy?

LED Phototherapy is recognised as an essential skincare treatment due to its role in the foundation of skin optimisation and good skin health. Dermalux offers unique regenerative and recovery benefits and enables more successful results with inflammatory conditions. Due to the non-invasive nature, it is safe for all skin types all year round.

Dermalux safely integrates with many procedures including resurfacing, skin needling, mesotherapy, Radio Frequency, Laser/IPL and injectable treatments to supercharge cell metabolism for superior treatment results, accelerate recovery and reduce downtime by an average of 50%. It will also advance the results of more traditional facial treatments.

  • What can LED light therapy be used to treat?

    Anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation

    Acne: Mild, moderate and severe

    Pigmentation including melasma

    Redness

    Inflammatory skin conditions

    Psoriasis

    Wound healing and recent scars

Pain relief: muscular and joint well-being

  • Which LED light therapy is best for rosacea?

A combination of Dermalux settings can be used- 10 minutes of neo-infrared followed by 10 minutes of neo-infrared with red light can be used for rosacea, or if acne rosacea is the problem, 20 minutes of blue light combined with neo-infrared may be more appropriate. The combination of different lights can be adjusted depending on patient presentation.

  • What is LED light therapy for acne?

A combination of all three lights (blue, red and neo-infrared) can be used to treat acne. Blue is antibacterial, red light is rejuvenating and neo-infrared has healing properties. At the beginning of your skin care journey we will carry out a skin scan and create a bespoke skin care plan to help tackle your problem areas.

  • Is LED light therapy safe when pregnant?

Dermalux LED light therapy has not been tested on pregnant women, therefore the risk to the unborn foetus and mother is unknown. Therefore we do not recommend having LED light therapy whilst pregnant. We do however have pregnancy safe facials available in the clinic if you would like to give your skin a boost!

  • Has Dermalux LED Light therapy won any awards?

Yes, as well as winning best manufacturer of the year in 2018 and 2021, Dermalux was also voted Treatment of The Year for five consecutive years at the UK Aesthetic Awards.

  • What is the difference between your dermalux device and other led light devices?

The Dermalux Triwave technology is far superior than other devices available. Delivering more power per second than portable LED devices, means shorter treatment times, fewer treatment sessions and faster visible and lasting results.

The devices are designed and manufactured in the UK, with an emphasis on quality, safety, efficacy and compliance with industry regulations.

  • How many treatments will I need?

The number of Dermalux light therapy treatments and frequency of treatments varies depending on what is being treated and why? Following an in-depth skin consultation including skin analysis you will be advised on the most appropriate protocol.

  • Is LED light therapy a one-off treatment?

No, with LED Phototherapy the results are cumulative and improvement will continue even after the treatment has stopped. Treatments taken in quick succession will achieve optimum results and maintenance treatments may also be recommended. Furthermore, as phototherapy does not harm the skin, there is no limit to the amount of treatment you can have.
