How does Obagi Nu-Derm® work?

The Obagi Nu-Derm® System has a number of prescription-grade products that work to slow down the production of melanin, which helps control pigmentation in the skin, revealing a revitalised and glowing complexion: Cleanse your skin using the Gentle Cleanser. This should be followed by the Obagi Nu-Derm® Toner. Correct with Clear, an effective prescription of hydroquinone that helps correct hyperpigmentation, such as dark spots, sun spots, age spots, melasma, and other types of discoloration. Exfoliate with Exfoderm, which improves the texture of the skin by exfoliating dead surface skin cells. Prevent and protect against further damage with the effective Sun Shield Broad Spectrum SPF. Hydrate with the Hydrate moisturising cream to be used as needed to soothe the skin.

Does Obagi® lighten the skin?

Yes, part of the Obagi Nu-Derm® Skin System (Obagi Nu Derm® Blender and Clear) are formulated with prescription-strength hydroquinone, which lightens the skin and gradually removes sun damage and age spots. Tretinoin is also used as part of the system.

How to apply

What to expect

The Obagi Nu-Derm® System works to revitalise your skin for a more hydrated, even and smooth complexion.

The cleansers start by clearing away dirt, debris and excess oil from the surface of the skin.
The toner prepares the skin for the next ingredients.
The Nu-Derm® Clear and Blender, penetrate deep into the skin, and prevent the formation of further pigmentation.
Using lactic acid AHA's, the Exfoderm® works to increase your skins cellular turnover and hydration, combined with Obagi Hydrate®, it reduces water loss and encourages skin health, leaving your skin with a natural glow.
Finally, when using Tretinoin, this will help advance healing, repair and regulate damaged skin cells, to even your skin tone and texture.
