Leading aesthetics clinic celebrates expansion into luxury new premises

Abbey Mclaughlin

Delivering the latest in aesthetic treatments to the very highest standard, The Aesthetics Hub is looking forward to welcoming patients old and new into their new premises in Crosby Village.

Due to rapid expansion, director Abbey McLaughlin, who is an independent nurse prescriber, decided to upgrade from her clinic in Waterloo to the new premises in Crosby Village. Situated in the 1930’s Glenn Buildings, the new, larger-scale medical clinic has been renovated from scratch. It is art-deco themed and luxuriously decorated whilst retaining a professional, clinical feel.
The relocation to the flourishing Crosby Village marks a huge investment for The Aesthetics Hub, who provide a plethora of competitively priced non-surgical treatments for issues such as lines and wrinkles, loss of skin volume and other cosmetic issues to give the skin a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
Abbey is highly trained, knowledgeable and experienced having been practising as an aesthetics nurse for the last eight years. Prior to forging her aesthetics career, Abbey gained invaluable experience within the NHS as an Intensive Care Nurse and specialist nurse in the Sefton community in a career spanning over ten years.
Abbey said: “I’m delighted to have opened our new medical aesthetics clinic in Crosby village. The business has grown rapidly over the last few years and we have been looking for a suitable property for a while. The new clinic is like no other in the area, renovated to the highest standards and with a lot to offer, we are looking forward to being part of the Crosby Village Community.”
The expansion includes three treatment rooms where treatments including wrinkle reducing injections, lip enhancement, full face rejuvenation with dermal fillers, eye rejuvenation, microneedling, plasma skin tightening, medical grade skin care, peels and facials. Treatments are carried out to the very highest standard, focussing on natural results and adhering to stringent safety procedures and only after a thorough, bespoke consultation is carried out. This consultation is free of charge and includes a skin-scan assessment.

Abbey is passionate about skin health and the skin-scan assessment forms the basis of all her treatments. While injectables are often an excellent and effective treatment, they are far from the only option available.

To achieve the best result from any aesthetic enhancement, good skin care is essential. It’s important that patients understand that issues like skin tone and texture are greatly improved by a sustained and effective medical-grade skincare regime and it’s not always necessary to default to treatments such as botulinum toxin injections and dermal fillers. At the Aesthetics Hub, as well as correcting skin damage that’s already present, we also help patients to protect their skin from future damage and reduce the need for further intervention.

The continued success of The Aesthetics Hub is testament to Abbey’s commitment to exceptional patient care. It is not a run-of-the-mill clinic and hundreds of delighted patients can attest that Abbey’s evidence-based approach to treatment and care can produce life-changing results.

“We are a little different from other providers of non-surgical treatments because we offer a bespoke service based on a free skin assessment and thorough consultation, focussing on natural results. The majority of our patients don’t want others to know they have had aesthetic treatments and it is possible for patients to look and feel refreshed without being overdone” added Abbey.
“We give advice and all the information necessary for our patients to make an informed decision about how to proceed.
“No non-surgical treatment is risk free, but we do our best to ensure our patient care is the highest standard it can possibly be and that our service is exceptional.”
The Aesthetics Hub focusses on patient safety and meticulous patient care. Due to this medical speciality being largely unregulated, there are many unqualified and inexperienced practitioners who carry out treatments unethically, putting their patients at risk of complications and even permanent disfigurement. There are countless media stories of “botched” aesthetic treatments and they are all too common. Aesthetic treatments are medical treatments and only those with experience and appropriate training who are governed by a regulating body such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the General Medical Council (GMC) and bound by their duty of care should carry them out.

In response to the ever-present threat to the public from untrained and unscrupulous aesthetics providers, huge pressure is being applied to the government - including from local MPs - to regulate the aesthetics industry. The Aesthetics Hub are strongly in favour of this campaign.

Some people, even some under 16s, have been left permanently damaged by people more concerned with making quick money than the wellbeing of their patients. Currently, anyone who isn’t experienced or qualified can obtain injectables on the internet and open a ‘clinic.’ These formal and reputable sounding words often fool the public, who may have no idea that they’re being treated by a person with no medical background or any idea of the precarious position they’re putting themselves in.
Abbey can be found on the NMC register and as well as being a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, the British Dermatological Nursing Group and Aesthetic Complications Expert Group she also receives 1:1 training with prominent industry leaders and ensures she undergoes regular, advanced training to ensure her practice is second to none and that she stays a cut above her competition.
Anyone who is new to The Aesthetics Hub is encouraged to come along and meet Abbey and discuss how she can help. All patients will be welcomed into the serene, comfortable and discreetly - located new clinic where they can be sure they will receive the very best treatment and care.
