LED Light Therapy
Clinically proven Dermalux® LED light therapy treatments energise skin and resolve problem skin conditions on the face and body.
The Aesthetics Hub in Liverpool uses the Dermalux® LED light; a multi-award winning device leading the way in phototherapy.
How does LED Light Therapy work?
The treatment uses specific wavelengths of light to deliver safe and therapeutic doses.
The Dermalux® LED Phototherapy has a significant advantage over other devices available on the market by using three clinically proven wavelengths of light at the same time or individually to create a bespoke treatment.
This reduces treatment times and increases patient outcomes and satisfaction.
The following lights are used to target skin cells and tissues:
Red Light is absorbed by fibroblasts in the skin increasing collagen and elastin production for smoother, firmer skin resulting in rejuvenation. Red light also improves circulation and helps to eliminate toxins whilst accelerating healing, skin feels more hydrated, plump and visibly radiant.
Blue Light has antibacterial properties and interacts with the p.acnes bacteria leading to destruction. Production of sebum (the skin’s natural oils) is also reduced improving skin clarity and treating congested and spot-prone skin.
Near Infrared Light unlike the other two lights is invisible. It is able to penetrate deeper through the skin cells and also has an anti-inflammatory effect. This results in increased tissue healing, reduction in scarring and helps to treat sensitive skin conditions such as rosacea, psoriasis and spot-prone skin. This light is also clinically proved to treat hyper pigmentation (freckling of the skin) and helps with the absorption of topical skincare through the skin layers.
At our aesthetic Clinic in Liverpool the Dermalux® light therapy can be used as an individual treatment or integrated with existing skin treatments to compliment and enhance results.
